Invite one of the best children's picture book authors of 2019 to your next event

I love having the opportunity to discuss “Here Comes Ingo” in front of an audience eager to engage with a visual story that exemplifies love, kindness, and inclusion. While “Here Comes Ingo” allows for fun and educational interaction, (i.e. emancipatory pedagogy), it also familiarizes readers with sophisticated art concepts such as fine art collage and photomontage. Most importantly, this picture book goes a step further by inviting preschoolers (3-5) and school age children (5-8) to immerse themselves into Ingo’s dream world by adding their own ideas and expanding the story via drawing, coloring, and painting directly ON the page.

Page after page of hand-crafted collages filled with fun details and wrapped in vibrant colors encourage children to put their thinking caps on and figure out what the characters on each page are thinking, feeling, and doing. This interaction helps children gain valuable skills, such as:

  • Communication
  • Visual observation
  • Predicting
  • Inferring
  • Critical thinking
  • Confidence

“Here Comes Ingo,” a great example of the benefits of art in early childhood development, and is:

  • IndieReader Approved
  • Recipient of The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval
  • Winner of Creative Child Magazine 2019 Book of the Year Award
  • Recipient of the Mom's Choice Gold Award

As a children’s literacy and art advocate, I look forward to any opportunity to discuss “Here Comes Ingo” in front of an audience eager to engage with a wonderful visual story that exemplifies a progression of thinking leading towards love, kindness and inclusion.
