I believe in the healing power of art

Dear Charitable Organizations,

As a mother of young children in need of looking after, as a daughter of parents who have succumbed prematurely to cancer and Alzheimer's disease, as the wife of a doctor who chooses to practice in a public hospital, as a transplant to the USA, and as a college instructor in direct contact with at-risk young adults, I have had my fair share of exposure to life's hardships. The one thing that remains constant and unchanging is my trust in art as a healing and life-enhancing force. Making and sharing my art has served as my very own source of healing and a great help in channeling my inner strength toward a positive mindset and a sense of connection with people in vulnerable situations.

Precisely because I believe regular engagement with art facilitates emotional expression and helps overcome trauma, I regularly donate art prints to organizations that help kids and adults in need and/or crisis.

I am always open to working with charitable organizations that use art to alleviate pain and enrich the lives of people who are undergoing physical, emotional, or mental crises such as hospital patients, victims of domestic abuse, trauma survivors, etc. Among the organizations I have worked with are:

Art Access - Brooklyn Arts Council

The Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn

ArtWorks - The Naomi Cohain Foundation

AAWO "Motrat Qiriazi" - Albanian American Woman's Organization

Please contact me if you feel that my body of work, my time, and my belief in art as a source of hope and comfort serves the mission of your organization.
